Performing on the Main Stage
The Finley River Boys will be playing on the Main Stage after the parade until Noon and then from 1:00-5:00pm.
They are a four piece band consisting of Rhythm Guitar- Bill Crider, Upright Bass – Brad Reynolds, Fiddle – Brett Dudenhoeffer, and Banjo – Alan Johnston, and perform a variety of old time Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music.
The Finley River Boys have performed at Silver Dollar City’s Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival and a host of other festivals, churches and concert venues around the Ozarks.
The band has been featured on the Bluegrass Local TV Show, KOZL in Springfield, Missouri; The Ozark Tradition TV show on the Christian Broadcasting Station, Channel 38 in West Plains, Missouri; featured on KOPN 89.3 FM’s Real Deal Country, and Midnight Country radio shows, as well as being a nominee for the 2014 International Country Gospel Music Association’s “Band of the Year” award.

Performing on the Stage on North Monroe
Mitch Shields and Special Guest Miss Melani Biggers from Main Street Music will perform on the Stage on North Monroe from 12:30 to 5:00pm.
This eclectic duo is an ever-changing collection of music…We are rock, we are country, we are oldies, we are new music and we even do some Sunday morning favorites.. A father-daughter duo, from the lake area… Covering a large spectrum ofmusic… we pride ourselves in being very versatile.
The duo is made up of Melani Biggers… Melani studied music at Drury University where she traveled with the Drury Singers. If she looks familiar it may be because you have seen her on some billboards around the lake. Melani is also a singer for the Main Street Music Hall… 2017 is her sixth year with the show.
Mitch Shields, the half of the duo, has played music most of his life.. Over the Mitch has played a wide variety of bands and has even opened for Molly Hatchet, and shared the stage with Roy Nichols (lead guitarist for Merle Haggard) just to name a few…These days Mitch along with his wife Melva perform all around the lake area.
The fiddlers will be back at the 2017 Apple Festival with a competition at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 7 at the Royal Theatre in Versailles. The contest is sponsored by the Marker Family and the Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sign-up for the contest is at noon. The fiddle contest will be divided into three categories: Junior, up to 16 years old; Open, 16 years old and older; and Senior, 56 years old and older. A fiddler who is 16 years old may choose to enter either the Junior or the Open class.
There will be prize money for the top positions in all categories. Those contestants who pre-register will have the opportunity to play last.
Last year’s winner will perform at 3 p.m. and the 2017 winner will perform at 3:30 p.m. on the main stage.
