Performing on the Main Stage
The Finley River Boys will be playing on the Main Stage after the parade until Noon and then from 1:00-5:00pm.
They are a four piece band consisting of Rhythm Guitar- Bill Crider, Upright Bass – Brad Reynolds, Fiddle – Brett Dudenhoeffer, and Banjo – Alan Johnston, and perform a variety of old time Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music.
The Finley River Boys have performed at Silver Dollar City’s Bluegrass and Barbecue Festival and a host of other festivals, churches and concert venues around the Ozarks.
The band has been featured on the Bluegrass Local TV Show, KOZL in Springfield, Missouri; The Ozark Tradition TV show on the Christian Broadcasting Station, Channel 38 in West Plains, Missouri; featured on KOPN 89.3 FM’s Real Deal Country, and Midnight Country radio shows, as well as being a nominee for the 2014 International Country Gospel Music Association’s “Band of the Year” award.

Performing on the Stage on North Monroe
Sonshine Road will be performing on the Monroe Street Stage. They are a husband/wife multi-award winning, Nashville Recording, Bluegrass Gospel Duo. Members of Mo-Kan Gospel Association, CGMA (Country Gospel Music Association), USAGEM (Nashville), ICGMA (Internation Country Gospel Music Association), H.A.B.O.T. (Heart of America Bluegrass and Ol-Tyme Music). Sonshine Road goes and shares their testimonies and music where God leads or opens a door for them to. Jaidyn LaBorde just turned 15. She is a Christian Country Gospel Singer/Song Writer Recipient and participator in the Jimmy Jack Foundation, Youth Worship leader at her church, Member of the CGMA and ICGMA. She has a newly released CD, “Jaidyn…In The Beginning” produced and recorded in Branson, MO.
Steve Bruno Samuels has been singing for 30 yrs., music/worship leader for 12 years and has 2 CDs recorded. He is a member of Lasting Legacy and Waters Edge. Just rec’d New Male Artist for the (Central Division) CGMA.
Jimmy Jack Whitaker is the Founder of the Jimmy Jack Foundation, Nashville Recording Artrist/Producer, Award winning Instrumentalist from many organizations. He just received Producer of the year for (Central Division) CGMA and was in the top 5 for Instrumentalist of the Year for ICGMA.
The fiddlers will be back at the 2018 Apple Festival with a competition at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 6 at the Royal Theatre in Versailles. The contest is sponsored by the Marker Family and the Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sign-up for the contest is at noon. The fiddle contest will be divided into three categories: Junior, up to 16 years old; Open, 16 years old and older; and Senior, 56 years old and older. A fiddler who is 16 years old may choose to enter either the Junior or the Open class.
There will be prize money for the top positions in all categories. Those contestants who pre-register will have the opportunity to play last.
Last year’s winner will perform at 3 p.m. and the 2018 winner will perform at 3:30 p.m. on the main stage.
